Moving Chaos? Here’s How I Made It Easier

Moving into a new apartment or home can be exciting—but let’s be real, it can also be chaotic. You’re surrounded by stacks of unopened boxes, and of course, the one thing you need is nowhere to be found.

That’s exactly the situation I knew I’d be in after my recent move - and a place I had been in many previous moves. Many times I had walked into my basement, still full of unopened moving boxes, and thought.... I wonder what is in THAT box?

And losing track of important items—especially family photographs and heirlooms—makes it even worse!

In this example below, I wanted to find a few specific photographs to hang on the wall of my new home, but tearing through every box just wasn’t an option.

In these two videos, I’ll show you a quick example of the surprisingly simple system I’m using to organize my moving boxes as I pack them, and to later locate what I need. It capitalizes on the amazing capabilities of the Mylio photography application.

So, I came up with a system—and trust me, it saved me tons of time and stress. Whether you're moving soon or just reorganizing, this method will make unpacking and settling in so much smoother. It’s a total game-changer.
